The “Theta Astronaut” Light Painting was created in real time and captured to the camera in one single photographic frame. I first created a diorama using a 3 Mirror Kaleidoscope, a Astronaut figure painted black, some sand, cotton, and a hand cut stencil of the Theta Logo. With the diorama complete I then opened the shutter of my camera and began the exposure. While the exposure runs, I illuminate the scene using various lights and Light Painting tools during one long exposure. The total exposure time for the “Theta Astronaut” Light Painting was 79 seconds. At a time in the not too distant future the world will see the light, see you in space fellow Theta enthusiasts.
